Optimizing with GENIOS – one framework, flexibly in use
Successful optimization combines context-specific, precise solutions and continuously refines them: This is just how our optimization framework for transport management works – GENIOS by MENTZ. It combines a genetic algorithm with a multi-agent system.
-
platform-independent and cloud-capable (AWS)
-
developed by MENTZ – for numerous combinational optimization tasks in transport management
-
extensive visualization options, including with multiple solution variants
-
uniform interface for monitoring and controlling
An overview of the framework
Technical highlights
-
modern system architecture: .net core, GPU processing, Angular-based web user interface, etc…
-
integrated current research and development results from such sources as graph theory, AI, and evolutionary algorithms
Flexibly adaptable host system and resources
GENIOS uses the Task Parallel Library (TPL) from .NET. This allows our optimization framework to automatically use the available host system resources optimally. Additionally or alternatively, you can manually restrict the resources allocated to the framework in order to continue to optimize further in the background.

Suitable for desktop and client server architectures

GENIOS can be used in many different architectures:
-
as a local desktop application with an interface
-
as a straight server application
-
as a server application that is controlled via a desktop application
-
as a cluster application
The optimization algorithm runs on a central system and distributes the computing work across several GENIOS servers
