Proxy Mode

The job of the proxy mode is to accept data from a supplier and to transfer them to a dedicated supplier.

The core task is then not to make a single connection, but rather to manage a number of connections between multiple suppliers and consumers.

A common requirement within the scope of a data platform is the option to exchange data between two parties directly; conversely, direct physical connections between all parties may not be suitable or wanted.

Instead the DDIP provides the option that only one physical connection has to be made from each supplier/consumer to the DDIP. The DDIP acts as a so-called proxy, over which any number of logical direct connections between two parties can be made.
