SVV Relies on the DDIP Data Hub
The Salzburg Transport app accesses the latest transport data and provides riders with the best information on the current transport situation. This way SVV riders can select an optimal route which fits their individual needs.

In the summer of 2020, the SVV sent out a request for proposal for a real-time data platform. The larger plan is to connect the sources and recipients of real-time forecasts and vehicle positions in the Federal State of Salzburg. “We want to enable fast and reliable data exchange. In the past, the infrastructure of a neighboring network was shared for this purpose. In the near future, a separate platform will be created,” said project manager Dr. Matthias Erven when describing the work to be done. MENTZ was able to win over the SVV with their product, the “Dynamic Data Integration Platform” (DDIP). “Starting next year, we will be able to provide riders and customers in Salzburg with a reliable and fast flow of information through the MENTZ data platform,” said Erven.
With the DDIP, the SVV has acquired a proven product that is constantly being developed and in use by many customers. “We’ll be starting with the VDV-453-VIS and VDV-454-(REF)AUS services. At the same time, the option was also provided for connection to other interfaces and partners in the future,” said Erven.
“We look forward to working with the SVV,” said Managing Director Christoph Mentz. The SVV and its affiliates transport around 70 million passengers a year.
