The Gullivr development team at MENTZ wanted to make modern mobility easy. “The challenge was to keep the app sleek while providing a wide range of functions,” said Günther Gruber, Head of Mobile Department at MENTZ. Technically, it made the most sense to use the Flutter framework to develop Gullivr. “We wanted to boost Gullivr’s performance to the max,” emphasized Gruber.
MENTZ cooperated with the renowned design agency KMS TEAM to design the app. Having such a prominent and experienced partner on board for the development certainly helps. “App users can easily find their way around the app and have fun using it too,” said Gruber.
Central Passenger Profile for All Mobility Services
From the very beginning, Gullivr’s development was accompanied by intensive usability tests conducted by an independent institute. With Gullivr, passengers only need to have a single profile for all mobility services, but retain the option to make many user-specific settings. For transport companies, Gullivr is flexibly adaptable to accommodate different corporate identities.
According to Gruber, the beta version will be ready for testing as early as August 2021. He expects the first customer releases to begin before the end of the year.
